Circulation Service
Library circulation involves the process of lending books and other materials to library users. The Circulation Desk, typically located near the main entrance, handles lending, returns, renewals, and fines. Staff at this desk can also assist with basic searches, while more complex queries are referred to reference librarians. DUAC Library allows students and staff to borrow books for free using their ID cards. Users can also renew items and reserve books that are currently on loan, with the option to reserve all available copies if multiple are checked out.
Reference Service
Reference services in libraries are responsible for acquiring, organizing, and making information accessible to users. This service ensures that the information collected by the library is properly disseminated.
The Reference section of the library houses a variety of information-rich resources, including encyclopaedias, dictionaries, thesauri, atlases, and important books covering a range of topics. These materials are kept on separate shelves from other books. If you have difficulty finding them, the library staff can assist in pointing them out.
In our library, reference sources are available for reading and consultation only. Users may refer to these books or, if necessary, make photocopies. However, reference books and the latest volumes of periodicals or journals are not available for check-out.
Internet Service
A network resource centre is functioning in the library. The main objective of the network resource centre is to provide internet facility to the students and staff for academic purpose at free of cost. It also creates awareness and gives exposure to staff and students about the use of computers and helps to have access to multimedia materials in teaching and learning from places all around the world.

Reprographic and Printing Service

Photocopying involves creating copies of necessary items such as books, journals, newspapers, and pamphlets, which proves to be an essential tool for library users. However, this service is governed by copyright laws, which impact the document supply services offered by libraries and information centres. Current-awareness Service
The goal of a current-awareness service is to keep users informed about the latest acquisitions in the library. Public libraries often use display boards and shelves to highlight new arrivals, and many libraries also create comprehensive or selective lists to share with users.
At Darul Uloom Arabic College Library, display boards and shelves are utilized to showcase recent additions and keep users updated on the library’s newest resources.
