Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
Community Emergency Response Team is an advisory team to nurture a set of dedicated, trained and self motivated volunteers who discharge duties quickly and scientifically. The team bridges the gap between the said and implemented. The following are its major functions;
1. To educate Campus Emergency Response Team in disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills such as fire and safety, light search and rescue, team organization and disaster medical operations.
2. To train students and staff on campus and support emergency management in various situations.
3. To train personal safety, fire suppression and safety and transportation of patients for better treatment.
4. To educate Campus Emergency Response Team in various campus outreach programs like soft skills training, drills, personality development etc.
